Pecan Pie and the recipe this time is courtesy of Joud

Good things in life come and go,,and there is nothing better than lying your hands on a heavenly recipe that meets all your scrumptious needs and desires,,
Pecan pie,,and this time the recipe is from my 13 year old friend Joud,,hello Joud :)
Many of my students ask me questions that are not classroom related,,things like:" Miss,,how's butter cream made?,,And how do I adjust my camera settings? And how many times should I check on my baking bread in the oven?" And so on,,
They give me pure joy when they think I'm a source of knowledge in those fields which apparently I'm not.
Another pleasure in this life is to come to your desk in the morning and find that apple pie or nutella jar or maybe a simple flower with a "I miss you" note,,I love my students.
Joud was courteous enough to share her pecan pie with me and I literally was about to die, it was so yummy and I was so so hungry after a long exhausting day,, so proud of a teenager who can bake at such an early age.
She also shared her mouthwatering recipe with me and I tried it immediately especially that this cold weather was calling for some good warm treats,,enjoy it with a hot cup of tea,,I cheated on my tea this time and had it with cinnamon,,

Here is the recipe

For the dough:
1 1/2 cup of flour
1 1/2 stick of butter
pinch of salt
some drops of cold water,,I added yogurt.

Knead the dough and leave it in the fridge for half an hour or so,,roll in a pan and add the filing.

For the filling;
1  1/2 cups of pecan..I used a bit more ,,so in love with pecans especially when they are from my homeland Chechnya
3/4 cup pancake syrup
3/4 sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 stick butter,,I know its buttery that's why its so damn good :P
3 eggs
Beat the ingredients together

Bake in a moderate oven for about half and hour depending on the temperature of your oven.
